Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler the 28th of June, 1986. Pickler had a difficult childhood. It was when she was two that she was abandoned by her mother in an attempt to leave her violent marriage. She came back into the life of Pickler in 1995, and assumed custody of her. The situation did not go for the best. In the year Pickler reached the age of 12, she was returned to her grandparents who brought her up to adulthood. In the absence of their parents Pickler got too involved in with the children of her parents. Pickler admitted that she no longer had time to learn and she began to understand how to be a homemaker from a very young age.
